About
Approved by the American Cricket Education Council (ACEC) and United Cricket Coaches, and recognized nationwide by Physical Education Teachers.
The cricket coaching education program is designed to enhance the understanding and teaching of cricket across schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.
Originally accredited by the ACF Board of Directors, this initiative aims to educate Americans about cricket.
The Cricket Hall of Fame (CHOF), the first of its kind established in 1981, has endorsed coaching programs that incorporate mindfulness training.
The American Cricket Federation (ACF) coach certification program is managed and executed by the esteemed coach Jatin Patel. This program, conceived by Coach Patel—who is a Cricket Hall of Famer and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award—focuses on a comprehensive approach to coaching, drawing from his extensive experience as a multi-sport coach, mentor, and administrator.
The unique cricket coach certification program is tailored from an American coach’s perspective, facilitating educators in their understanding of the game and its instruction to students. By adhering to these guidelines, it is anticipated that coaching cricket to American youth will become more accessible, alongside the certification of coaches based on techniques employed by American sports coaches.
Coach Patel has also voluntarily contributed as an architect in developing the USA Cricket Coaching and Umpiring programs, which received board approval in November 2019.
The ACF is committed to fostering a vibrant cricket culture in the United States, ensuring that coaches are equipped with the latest methodologies and practices to inspire the next generation of players.
Through continuous development and innovation, the ACF aims to build a robust framework for cricket education that resonates with the diverse landscape of American sports, ultimately paving the way for cricket to flourish in schools and communities across the nation.
